ASUS Zenfone 5Q launched with Four Cameras: Review, Specs and Price

According to ASUS, the ZenFone 5Q has the “world’s first globally announced true quad-camera system”. Thanks to the 16MP + 16MP dual rear camera and 20MP + 20MP dual selfie camera. Without further ado, meet the ASUS Zenfone 5Q.

Design

A beauty to behold, ASUS are known for making the most sleek devices and the Zenfone 5Q didn’t fall short. Made from Metal with a glass finishing, the Zenfone 5Q will be a pleasure to hold. The dual rear camera on the 5Q is at the middle, instead of at the left like its powerful brothers.

A dual-LED flash sits to the left, while the fingerprint scanner is pretty much underneath. Furthermore, it measures just 7.75mm in thickness, which is very slim to be honest. It weighs just 168g overall, making it quite comfortable to hold and operate. You can get the ASUS Zenfone 5Q in Black, White, Red and Blue colors.

Display

With the Zenfone 5Q, you will get a Full View display, as it dishes out an 18:9 aspect ratio. The screen stretches up to 76.30% screen to body ratio, offering more screen than bezels. You will enjoy watching movies and playing games with this. The company didn’t go the top-notch way with this though, the bottom bezel is still pretty much visible.

However, the top bezel houses the dual selfie camera, LED flash and speaker grille. In addition, the 5.99-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen displays like a flagship device. Boasting of 2160 x 1080 pixels in resolution and 402 pixel per inch density for nice visuals. The screen has Eye Care Mode to take care of your eyes in the long run.

Hardware and Software

Housing the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 chip with a 64-bit CPU architecture and 8-cores of processor. The Octa-core processor reaches a clock speed of 2.2GHz with a 28nm process technology for a fast experience just like its brothers. In the graphics department, the Qualcomm Adreno 508 is totally in charge.

The Zenfone 5Q runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with ZenUI 5.0 skin on top. 4GB RAM space is available for multitasking with a memory speed of 1.333 GHz for faster experience. Store all your files in the 64GB internal storage space, you can upgrade up to 2TB if you want.

Camera

The dual 16MP + 16MP Sony rear camera has f/2.2 aperture, 3-Axis EIS and 6P Lens. The first camera on top boasts of a 25.8 mm focal length and 80 degree wide-angle lens. While the one underneath has a 12.5 mm focal length 120 degree wide-angle lens. They will work together to capture photographs with 4619 x 3464 pixels. For selfies, the 20MP + 20MP dual selfie camera has f/2.0 aperture and Sony Imx376 Exmor RS sensor.

Battery

Powering the ASUS Zenfone 5Q is a 3200mAh non-removable Li-Po battery with fast charging technology. Even with the fast charging feature, it might take up to 3 hours to fully charge up the battery from 0% to 100%.
